Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) is the only tennis teaching certification organization that offers targeted education and certification. Which route you choose usually depends on the area you prefer, have expertise in and/or whom you are primarily teaching.
Basic Certification
PTR has four (4) basic certifications to fit the needs of tennis teaching professionals worldwide: 10 & Under, 11 to 17, Performance and Adult Development. Due to knowledge needed, time and expense there is no one certification that encompasses all four areas.
Master of Tennis Certification
PTR offers a Master of Tennis program in three (3) areas: Junior Development, Performance and Adult Development. Through these, you have a special opportunity to become educated and certified in one, two or three specific areas.
In July 2011, the PTR Master of Tennis – Performance received accreditation from NCACE – the National Council on Accreditation of Coaching Education, (a division of AAPHERD).
