Timo Siebert Named PTR Massachusetts Member of the Year
Hilton Head Island, SC - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) will present its annual awards during the 2018 PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes more than 40 educational presentations for tennis coaches, will be held next week on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Timo Siebert, of Sudbury, Massachusetts, has been named PTR Member of the Year for the State. This award is presented to a PTR member who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR. A member since 2006, Siebert is a certified Professional in two PTR education pathways. He is also a USTA High Performance Coach, iTPA Tennis Performance Trainer, and a Certified Mental Toughness Coach.
A native of Bremen, Germany, Siebert attended the College of Charleston, South Carolina, where he captained and played #1 singles and doubles. In 2003, he was named the Most Outstanding Player for the Southern Conference. He later played on the ATP Tour. He was also a member of the Bundesliga Bremerhavener Tennisverein von 1905 e.V. in Germany, one of the top tennis leagues in Germany and competed against ATP players ranked in the top 200.
Siebert believes that to become a great tennis player, it is important to give the students technical, tactical, physical and mental instruction. Depending on age and ability of the player, Siebert customizes his instruction style to help achieve each player’s maximum potential.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 16,000 members in 125 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and serving tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
