Scott Meixl Named PTR Wisconsin Member of the Year
Hilton Head Island, SC - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) presented its annual awards today during the 2018 PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes more than 40 educational presentations for tennis coaches, is underway February 13-16, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Scott Meixl, of Appleton, Wisconsin, has been named PTR Member of the Year for the State. This award is presented to a PTR member who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR. A member since 1997, Meixl is a certified Professional.
Meixl was the manager at Four Seasons Tennis and Health Club in Sherman, Texas, before moving to Wisconsin in 1998, and becoming Director of Tennis at Club West in Neenah. He is now the Tennis Director of Valley Athletics in Neenah, Wisconsin.
He played tennis at Navarro Junior College, where he was National Champion in singles and second in the nation in doubles, then transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. He majored in Marketing and earned his Masters in Business Administration.
Meixl is married to Kari, who is also a tennis player, and has two sons Aiden 11, and Colin 9.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 16,000 members in 125 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and serving tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
